# Invariant 1 — Local Accounting Dominance

**All accounting occurs on zkSync, and only zkSync determines NAV.**

Corollaries:

* No execution plane can modify shares or totalAssets().
* No executor can create or destroy supply.
* No remote chain’s view of balances is accepted without validation.
* No cross-chain state can modify accounting until zkSync finalises it.

This provides a single, canonical economic clock.<br>
