# Trusted vs. Untrusted Inputs

All execution-plane data is treated as *untrusted*.\
Only after validation does it transition to *trusted* status and enter accounting.

Inputs treated as trusted:

* zkSync vault balance
* validated PnL
* validated strategy values

Inputs always treated as untrusted:

* raw reports from executors
* internal valuations from strategy planes
* unverified balances
* any data from a paused plane
* reports arriving outside expected timing windows

This strict model prevents remote execution from influencing the vault's state incorrectly.
